Our History

Founded in 1947 by Floyd Holt, Holt Roofing Company is a third generation, family-owned business built upon the principles of honesty, fairness and quality. Floyd managed the family business until his passing in 1966, when it was taken over by his son, Jack.

Jack’s philosophy for running a successful business was based upon the Golden Rule: treat your customers how you would want to be treated. We take care of them – treat them right – and offer honest, fair service. “If there’s a problem, we take care of it right away,” noted Cynthia, Jack’s wife, who spent twenty years working in Holt’s main office.

Today, Jack’s children, Mark and Beth, continue to run the family company on the same principles. Both Mark and Beth grew up learning the roofing business and have worked their way from the ground-up. They are proud of their family’s reputation and ownership.

Holt Roofing believes that business is about people, including their employees.  As Beth says, “Our employees are the reason we are successful, and we treat them like family.”
